To Seek One's Self

I have discovered that after a certain age every woman seeks to know their true self and/or to honor that self. Who am I? Am I doing what I am suppose to be doing? What is my purpose? Am I honoring myself in my lifestyle or sacrificing my self to be what someone else wants me to be? My family brings me delight. My friends keep me balanced. My soul worships the Lord. I know I was created for a purpose by the One True, Living, Creator God. I know who I am in Him. I have lived through many of life's valleys and stood on its mountain tops. Have you ever taken the time to think about how your experiences may help others? Maybe by helping others, we realize we are helping ourselves? It brings encouragement to others when we share where we have been and how we overcame. If we kept it all inside, it can fester, creating a chronic disease in our temperment and/or physical being. But, when we share, we turn hurt into healing by reaching out to another. What can you share that would help some...

When Healing Becomes a Crime

When Healing Becomes a Crime: The Amazing Story of the Hoxsey Cancer Clinics and the Return of Alternative Therapies by Kenny Ausubel . (2000. Healing Arts Press, VT) Mr. Ausubel set out to tell a story about some snake oil salesmen but instead found something much uglier under that rock. It was shocking to find out who truly was the deceiver! The story of Harry Hoxsey begins with his great-grandfather who used home remedies to cure his horse in the mid-1800s. He then tried them on people close to him who were in need. 1924, Harry Hoxsey opened a clinic to help people using his father's remedies. He was very successful which began a 35 year battle between organized medicine and traditional healers. When people began getting healed by these methods, others set out to stop ...

Ever wonder???

Does anyone else ever wonder why the cancer rates keep climbing? Could it be anything we can stop? I would love to see the cancer rate drop. I am not ingnorant enough to think we see the day when there will be no more cancer. We might see the day when they treat it better, when it becomes like the flu. To lower the rate of newly diagnosed cases, we will need to change many 'normal' activities. We will have to pay more attention to what we eat: Where did it come from? What chemicals were used to grow it? Preserve it? Process it? Added to it so we would eat it? What ingredients are in our hygiene products? Which ones are known carcinogens? Which ones act like estrogen in the body-increasing the likelihood of cancer cell growth? What careers need to notify their employees of its cancer risk? How can they better protect the employees? Who controls the medical and charity groups that are suppose to help us? Why do their people usually switch postitions between themselves so they alw...
